Atlas Telecommunications and Indagon jointly extending TETRA Positioning Solution Indagon and ATLAS Telecom, its value-added reseller and distributor in the Middle East, have signed an agreement for the delivery of an advanced TETRA positioning system for United Arab Emirates officials. The scope of the agreement covers Indagon TETRA Positioning Platform for 20.000 users, to be used by authorities for positioning purposes. Atlas and Indagon will provide a complete ETSI and OMA standards based TETRA Positioning Solution for the implementation in the U.A.E. The system includes new technology in combining radar picture and TETRA positioning to enable comprehensive coverage of coastal areas. Equipment deliveries are being made and the solution is planned to be in operational use during 2007.
